When she is not in the courtroom, Paralegal Tanya Hutchens trains women in self-defense. As a tae-kwan-do master, Tanya Hutchens has much to offer her students. By training other women in martial arts, Tanya Hutchens helps empower others and builds important emotional and physical bonds with women in the Ontario area. In her role as Paralegal, Tanya Hutchens has empowered women in different, but no less important ways. Tanya Hutchens has helped hundreds of battered women gain custody of their children and restraining orders against abusive spouses. Tanya Hutchens female empowerment efforts continued through her representation of women's shelters facing family law battles. Tanya Hutchens helped women shelter occupants face these issues in the Ontario Court of Justice. Tanya Hutchens also served as Commissioner of Oaths for the Province of Ontario, allowing her to swear affidavits with Gold Star Legal Services, Tatiana Brik Legal Services, and Tenants Rights Company.
