I write about and sell real estate. I work primarily as a buyer's agent in Bellingham and the Seattle metro area. I write about real estate and life in the Northwest, posting primarily to blog sites like therealestatenovelist.com, my personal site, as well as to public sites like activerain.com and realestate.bellingham.net My articles tend to be about the home-buying process or the Bellingham real estate market. In particular, I like to write about my favorite parts of town, like Chuckanut Drive, the Bellingham waterfront, Fairhaven waterfront condos, and Lake Whatcom waterfront.
I'm a big fan of Bellingham live music and micro-brews, both of which appear quite often in my writing. I take a laid-back, practical approach to my work, my writing and my life. It has always been my philosophy that life is best when you can find the humor in it all. Whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger, I always say...
I spend quite a bit of time coaching other real estate agents, artists, and small business owners on modern, social-media-based marketing opportunities. In particular, I help them to integrate sites like Facebook and Twitter into their marketing plans, and to understand the power of personal branding.
For side-projects, I do event and party planning. Booking venues, bands, organizing themes and guest lists, etc. I've got about a dozen significant projects under my belt, usually birthday parties and small corporate events.
In my free time I play my guitar, hike in the hills, and spend a lot of time at the gym- mainly to offset my micro-brew hobby. I travel whenever and wherever possible, and I am always excited to meet new people, read more books, and learn more about real estate, social media, and the world, in general.
