Ralph Riley - Web Designer / Recent IT College Grad

Hi! My name is Ralph Riley and I am currently employed by World Wrestling Entertainment in Stamford, CT. I work in their IT department as a Technical Support Coordinator. My specific duties include being the liason between end users and desktop support technicians, and also performing desktop support duties and miscellaneous tasks when the time calls for it. I am a recent college graduate, just completing four years of studies to earn my Information Systems Management degree in the Quinnipiac University School of Business. I am currently interested in learning about any opportunities in the IT field that can help broaden my horizon regarding the field.
I have a web design background which dates back 9+ years, and I look to continue that skill with new personal, and professional projects. I specialize in content management system solutions as well as home grown personal business consultation regarding implementation to a web platform.
I currently reside in Westchester County, New York.

Web Design Background
I have a passion for technology, and many different aspects of it. My greatest passion happens to be Web Design. Back in 2000 while still in middle school, my friend Mike Macli and I decided it would be a fun idea to create a website which would have some cool and fun facts about our classmates. We decided to use Maxpages as our free website host. Little would I know from this little side endeavor, a nine year hobby would be born.
From Maxpages, I decided that my real interest lied in creating websites which revolved around another one of my interests: video games. I decided to create a name for this site, which was "Max Gaming". I wanted to deliver to the world a website which would have video game reviews, cheat codes, downloads, previews, and more. On several free website hosts including HyperMart, Max Gaming was gaining steam as I networked with other gaming sites to gain affiliates and in result, additional hits to my site. Max Gaming came to full fruitition when I purchased my first domain: www.max-gaming.net
From the domain purchase, the Max Gaming Network was born. Towards the middle of its inception, the Max Gaming Network also merged with another site, and I formed a partnership with their webmaster there, and with our combined content, staff, and contributions, we were gaining hundreds of unique hits a day, and our content was featured on many prominent gaming sites such as Gamespot and Games Radar.
Unfortunately, my co-webmaster and I split ways, and soon after, I could not maintain the Max Gaming Network by myself, as my academic and personal life was starting to speed up in high school. The Max Gaming Network went on hiatus for some time, but my interest in web design did not stop there.
Soon after, I decided to rename the Max Gaming Network the MG Network, and it encompassed many of my side web design projects which included: Valhalla Imperfect Productions (VIP), Xtreme Hardcore Wrestling (XHW), and a personal site where I would post another one of my interests which is photography. Unfortunately the new MG Network never got to the same success as its predecessor, but I was happy to still have a web establishment where I could promote and publish my creations.
So that leads me to my newest creation, Ralphie's Web (www.ralphiesweb.com). I thoroughly enjoying working on this site, because being older I wish to have a haven where my professional portfolio can be produced, as well as my resume and my web design business. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this passion of mine!
