Chris Hutchins currently lives in the Mission in San Francisco. Prior to being laid off in December 2008, he was a consultant with Monitor Group, a global management consulting firm. While there, provided strategic advice to clients on corporate growth strategy and market analysis. His recent projects included a detailed market segmentation and channel optimization project for a large cable operator and a five-year growth strategy plan for a major credit card issuer.
Prior to joining Monitor, Chris completed an internship as an analyst at Allen & Company, a boutique investment bank focusing on the media, entertainment and technology sectors. While at Allen & Co., he built financial models for M&A activity and prepared company valuations using equity comparables and precedent transactions analysis.
During the past three years, Chris has also worked on a full and part-time basis, and as a consultant, for Fusion Telecommunications International, Inc., a publicly-traded company marketing VoIP based telecommunications services to international carriers, corporations, and consumers. His work at Fusion focused on retail product development, consumer marketing, and digital/web strategy.
Chris graduated Cum Laude from Colorado State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He is passionate about the technology space, and has already co-founded three Internet based companies. In his spare time he can be found discussing the latest trends in technology or climbing at a local rock climbing gym.
