Originally from the Northeast, I fell in love with this fantastically bizarre place in 1993, eventually researching and writing about its history, finally leaving a boring life of stability in 2002 to live here full time. Previously a responsible adult working in finance and computer programing, now I write, take photos, gambol in the garden, and freelance as a civic booster.

It’s a pretty amazing tradeoff.

I’ve developed and implemented public relations, marketing, community outreach, and educational programs for nonprofits, community organizations, and service-oriented businesses operating locally and globally. In the corporate world, I’ve written and delivered training for global software, publishing, bio-medical, construction, and travel companies. I’ve managed projects spanning cultures and continents, diffused tensions within and between organizations, and a done lot more that’s not easy to categorize.

In 2008, I was asked to direct communications for a planned giving start-up. I'm an award-winning photographer and journalist primarily with the Portsmouth Daily Times (OH). My freelance work has included the Cleveland Plain Dealer (OH) and the Fort Wayne (IN) Newspaper Group as well as many schools, events and businesses.

After an auto accident left me unable to resume my photography career, I taught myself computers and began working as a freelance web design/maintenance professional.

Some of my clients included the City of Portsmouth (OH), the county government of Scioto County (OH), Jon's Photos, Gerlach and Gerlach, Attorneys-at-law, Gerlach for mayor, Leading Lady, Jon's Photos, Scioto Water and several other sites.

One of my most known sites was Planet Jendell - a fan site dedicated to Ace Frehley of Kiss. It was the only Ace-related site accepted by the official Kiss website which also had a link to Planet Jendell.
