Barry Melnkovic, SHPR successfully achieved four executive positions in human resources at Owens Corning, an international force in the building materials and composites sector. A former VP in Owens Cornings’ Insulation Systems Business, Construction Services, and Global Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness, Barry Melnkovic possesses an incredible record of thought leadership, change management, and execution. Barry Melnkovic’s feats include the SGA and Period Cost-Reduction Initiative, the World-Class Talent Success Review Process, and Global Succession/Talent Management Strategic Plan. Prior to his time at Owens Corning, Barry Melnkovic was Vice President, Human Resources at Holland America Line in Seattle, a premier cruise line employing 17,000 people. Barry Melnkovic spearheaded the company’s global corporate HR organization; his achievements included the securing of rare, multiyear labor contracts with international maritime unions, improving productivity and reducing cost. Earlier in his career, Barry Melnkovic acted as Vice President, Human Resources at Lilly Industries, Inc. For four years, Barry Melnkovic accumulated accomplishments that would eventually lead to his selection as one of the company’s top five most valuable executives. In addition, Barry Melnkovic is the former Director of Staff Services at PPG Industries, Inc., where he was celebrated as the “Father of PPG’s Ergonomic Process” for his comprehensive insight into enhancing productivity, competitive edge, quality, and safety. Barry Melnkovic attended the University of Pittsburgh as an undergraduate and holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
