For several years, equine enthusiast Antoinette Rand has belonged to the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing knowledge about the competitive sport of horse reining. In addition to her NRHA membership, Antoinette Rand has ties to one of its affiliates, the Southwest Reining Horse Association (SWRHA). Antoinette Rand is a fan of reining, a competition in which horses exhibit their agility performing a variety of complex maneuvers. As part of SWRHA, Antoinette Rand shares her knowledge of reining throughout the states of Texas and Oklahoma, the SWRHA's target territories. Just as she does with the NRHA, Antoinette Rand helps promote the breeding, training, and development of horses featured in reining events. The organization hosts the SWRHA Online Stallion Auction, as well as the Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity & Show. In addition, Antoinette Rand and other SWRHA members participate in various reining horse shows approved by the NRHA, which collectively make up the Affiliate Circuit Qualifying Shows. The SWRHA invites prospective competitors to attend one of the organization's many affiliate shows.
